
Lorie earned a bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy with the first graduating class at Thomas Jefferson University in 1985. Her career started at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital where she worked on the rehab unit with Neurological, Musculoskeletal and Amputee clients. Her passion for treating the rehab population led her to an almost life-long career at Bryn Mawr Rehab. She has worked there for 25+ years in many capacities including Spinal Cord Injury specialist and Physical Therapy Department Assistant Director. As she raised her family she continued to work as a per diem physical therapist at Bryn Mawr Rehab, which gave her broad experience on the Musculoskeletal, Neurological and Brain Injury Units. Her career also includes 2 years experience with orthopedics at Bryn Mawr Sports Medicine and an administrative role as the Director of the Physical Therapy Department for the acute care and rehab facility at St. Mary Hospital. She values the communication aspect of education and participated in the development of a multidisciplinary curriculum within the Allied Health and Medical Colleges at Thomas Jefferson University. She has done graduate study in Psychology at LaSalle University.
Lorie lives in Bryn Mawr with her husband and 4 children. She enjoys traveling, friends, outdoor activities, cooking, art and spontaneity.
