Its easy to dread the little nuances that make going to the gym a pain in the butt: for instance, the crowded spaces, the extra time spent waiting for your favorite machine to open up, the extra sweat left on the bench from the previous person, not to mention the added in extra time to drive to and from your home (plus traffic). After a long day of being at work or running errands, it can be so hard to find time in your busy schedule to go to the gym and perform your workout routine.

Well you’re in luck! When you’ve given up hope with going to the gym (atleast for today…), there’s actually a lot you can do in the comfort of your own home that takes away the extra people, the random sweat stains, the drive times, and even the exercise equipment!
Listed below are the 4 best exercises that will give you the most ‘BANG for your buck’ without even needing equipment or leaving your home:
Planks and Side planks
If you feel like you can’t perform this at all, instead of pushing off through your toes, try raising up from your knees. As you get stronger and can hold longer with good form, then work to push off from your toes/feet. Start with 10-15 sec holds and work into 3 sets of 45-60 sec.
For each of the last three, you can set a desired number of repetitions to complete (such as 3 sets of 10) or a desired length of time to complete them (”as many as you can for 30 sec or 1 min”).
