To My Fit4Mom Village,
After running Fit4Mom Glen Mills/West Chester for 7 years, first as an owner, then strictly as a lead instructor and coordinator, I have decided to officially move on from my Fit4Mom career and enter a new occupational chapter in my life. It is no easy task to leave this community, and it’s with a heavy heart that I write this letter to all of you.
I first opened this franchise in the spring of 2015 and was overjoyed at the task at hand. I’m so proud of the growth that was made and the relationships that I developed throughout this entire experience. When I look back on 2015, It was not an easy decision to buy into the franchise, but despite my fears, once I made the decision, failure was not an option. Sure, I had no business experience, had never taught a fitness class before, and social media marketing…um? What’s that?
I realized, as a mother to 3 young kids and being new to the area, that Fit4Mom was needed in our community. A support group of moms that encouraged us to get outside, get moving, and be healthy role models to our little ones. Probably the most important aspect of this company is the bonding that occurs among new moms. We could commiserate after class about the day to day grind of sleepless nights, picky eaters, 2 year olds having tantrums, or the struggle to sneak out for a monthly MNO!
Owning Fit4Mom was one of the best decisions of my life and I have made lifelong friends because of it. I absolutely adore all of you and your beautiful children. Even though I will be ending my time on the Fit4Mom team, I plan to continue to come as a Body Boost Client (I swear Brittany!), and attend MNO events when possible, so I will still get to see many of you. The babies will be my hardest “goodbye” as I could snuggle with them all day, every day. Please send me updated texts and pics as they grow and I’ll make sure the SS instructors have Ritz crackers and toy bins ready to go!
I want to take this moment to thank my Fit4Mom team…Jen Kitchen, Jen Smialowicz, Katie Longto, Brittany Brown, Pam DelGrosso, Gretchen Paulson, Erin Allsop, Genevieve Grossman and Sarah Glasgow. You have a clear understanding of what Fit4Mom stands for, making sure moms feel connected, successful, and confident. I know you all have your busy schedules with work and family, but I appreciate all your dedication and effort to put that aside, to attend class, and focus on your clients for that hour. I appreciate all that you do and I know, without a doubt, our moms do too. And I’d like to give a special thank you to the 4 most important people in my life, my husband Brian, and my 3 terrific kids Mia, Olivia, and Isaac for their unwavering support since I purchased the franchise. They were always understanding with my hectic schedule and odd work hours, and I’m so lucky to have them by my side.
Thank you to Co-owners, Kristen Wilson and Kathy Dixon, of Action Potential Physical Therapy for believing in Fit4Mom and understanding the importance of offering quality pre and post-natal programs for our community. Kristen and Kathy have always been one of my biggest cheerleaders, and it was a dream come true when they decided to buy into the franchise in Sept 2021. They have been a joy to work with this past year, so it’s no surprise that my next career move isn’t far from the AP Family….starting Aug 1st, you can find me working 3 days a week at Action Potential in the Glen Mills Office! If you miss hearing my voice or seeing my face, you know where to find me…so come schedule your free consult and say hello!!
My official title of Fit4Mom Coordinator will end August 1st and I couldn’t be more excited to announce my replacement….SARAH GLASGOW! Sarah has been teaching Body Boost for our village and is a complete natural. She is a certified personal trainer, nutrition coach, accomplished author, high school teacher, and one hell of a great mom! If you haven’t met Sarah yet, she will be making her rounds to a few Strides classes and will definitely be at Paddle board Yoga and the Wine Tour. Sarah has already started the Coordinator role and is killing it. I couldn’t be more thankful for her and her love of Fit4Mom. We will be updating contact information, but in the meantime, if you have any questions about classes or schedules, you can email Sarah at firstname.lastname@example.org or call/text 484-802-6192.
For those that know me, I am never at a loss for words but when it comes to putting my thoughts on paper, that’s the real struggle. I hope that this email has conveyed my thanks for all your love, support, encouragement, and most importantly, your friendship these last 7+ years. I plan to teach a few Strides classes up until Labor Day and hope to see some of you for a proper goodbye. The classes will be added sometime next week, so please check the schedule on pike13 and register!
And of course…the last and most important stretch is a SMILE 🙂
